LARNACA AIRPORT (LCA) INFORMATION

Larnaca Airport is located about 4km south west of the city of Larnaca and, as the main airport in Cyprus it acts as the main international gateway into the country.

In 2006 both Larnaca Airport and Paphos Airport underwent a €650 million upgrade and, as a result, you will find a lot of available amenities, including shops, restaurants and bars as well as a number of airport lounges.

More than 5 million passengers travel through the airport each year, to and from destinations such as the UK, Dubai, Germany, Russia and Israel and the airport is well equipped to cater for the passengers, with 75 check-in desks, 21 boarding gates, five baggage carousels and 2,440 parking spaces.

The airport has one main terminal, although there is also another terminal reserved for travelling heads of state. Departures can be found on the upper level, with Arrivals located on the ground floor.

While there is no rail service in Cyprus, a number of local bus services provide easy access to the city of Larnaca, plus taxis can be hailed from just outside the terminal building or booked in advance.

Another option is to hire a car while visiting Larnaca and there are a number of car hire companies that operate from within the airport, including Avis, Sixt and Hertz.
